Vidya Balan paying the price of her pricey issues

Well, Vidya Balan’s pricey issues are taking a toll on her and have caused two plum roles to slip out of her kitty. The first one is Inder Kumar’s multi-starrer comedy riot ‘Dhamaal 2’ for which Balan, riding high post her success of ‘Paa’ and ‘Ishqiya’, demanded a hefty 1.5 crore. Unable to meet this high fee, the makers decided to do away with Vidya and settled in with raunchy Mallika Sherawat instead who agreed to do the film at a much-affordable price. The news comes as a welcome one for the fans of sexy Mallika who has been missing from the desi tinsel town for quite sometime owing to her commitment with Hollywood flicks like ‘Hisss’ and ‘Love Barack’.

Again, Sanjay Dutt was apparently hurt with Vidya’s pricey issues in ‘Dhamaal 2′ where he forms a part of the star cast considering they’d starred together in ‘Lage Raho Munnabhai’, one of the biggest winners of Balan’s career. So, he made sure that Vidya was kept out of ‘Rascals’ which stars himself along with Ajay Devgn and a third male lead, which is yet to be finalised. Kangana Ranaut has been chosen as the female lead in the film instead of Balan.

However David Dhawan ensures that this has nothing to do with Vidya and Sanjay. He said, “The heroine’s role in ‘Rascals’ is very hip, hop and modern. Everyone felt that a fresh, younger face would suit the role better. Vidya is a fine actress and we will definitely work in another film together.”

So, can we say that it is high time Vidya stopped flying too high lest she could fall and hit back hard!!
