Nargise Bagheri strips down for PETA’s new campaign

Time and again Bollywood ladies like Rakhi Sawant, Sherlyn Chopra and Celina Jaitley have gone bold and bare to draw attention to the cruelty towards animals through PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) campaigns. This time the beauty to take up the cause is actress Nargise Bagheri who made her Bollywood debut with ‘Garam Masala’
Nargise has chosen to draw attention towards the plight of the horses who are made to pull heavy carts laden with goods, and sometimes people, in the case of joy rides. Nargise’s message is this: ‘Don’t get taken for a ride; horse drawn carts are cruel and outdated and should be relegated to the history books’.
The sensational photo shoot has the actress bare all except her long flowing hair and she is seen riding the dark horse naked, much like lady Godiva, a wife of an earl under Danish King Canute, who according to legend, rode naked through the streets of Coventry.
Bagheri quoted in the PETA release, “Horse Carts are cruel and outdated and should be relegated to the history books… in the city, the mix of horses and traffic can make for a lethal combination for horses and passengers.”
