Kangna Ranaut takes inspiration from Jeenat Aman’s looks

Kangana Ranaut is keeping her fingers crossed for the role of Rehana she plays in ‘Once Upon A Time in Mumbai’. The movie has the look and feel of the 70s era and Kangna did an extensive research on Zeenat Aman before portraying the role.
Speaking about the era of the seventies, the actress says, “What I noticed while playing my character in the film was the fact that the heroine of the seventies took half an hour to get dressed and more than two hours to style her hair.”
Says director Milan Luthria, “Kangana lends herself because she has a great body which does not look vulgar and her face is chameleon-like – she can change into different looks everyday. There is a lot of her in the character Rehana.”
The character Rehana in the movie is a leading star but later she falls in love with a gangster and transforms from a star to a woman. Set in mid 1970s, Once upon a Time in Mumbai is a slick and entertaining re-living of the iconic Mumbai underworld for all those who marveled at the men that stood above all else and for those whose burning desire to succeed stands above all else. The complete cast includes Ajay Devgan, Emraan Hashmi, Kangna Ranaut, Prachi Desai and Randeep Hooda. The movie is being directed by Milan Luthria under producers Ekta Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor of Balaji telefilms.
